We have been baking since last November but have only had our little shop open since mid-March. It is so hard to get things done here so everything moves slowly. We have 14 hours per day of no electricity which makes it very hard to bake and keep things fresh. The women have learned a lot and work really hard. The new house we rented for the women/bakery and orphan girls is working out well. The biggest challenge is paying a significantly higher rent. We have eight women living in the home now.
| Ganga and Sunu do the baking of muffins and cookies at the pasal (store). They have really learned well from Sue and can bake most things on their own. |
